NewCo Corporate Finance is ranked in the top 20 in the 2025 League Table of Financial Advisors in Mergers & Acquisitions published by Fusions & Acquisitions Magazine. The ranking is based on the cumulative transaction value over a three-year period (2023–2025). It is worth mentioning that NewCo Corporate Finance also posted the most significant improvement in the ranking.
This recognition is particularly meaningful as NewCo Corporate Finance, as an independent, sector-focused boutique, stands alongside the major global, full-service investment banks.
In the same issue, I had the opportunity to contribute an analytical article dedicated to M&A in financial services in 2025, entitled “A Vintage Year.”
2025 proved to be an excellent vintage for financial services, driven by strong consolidation dynamics and ongoing capital reshaping. Wealth management remains at the core of activity, with continued transactions involving large platforms and the emergence of mutual insurers as leading acquirers, now fully capable of competing with private equity funds.
Asset management continues to face pressure. Private equity is progressively moving into the retail space. The convergence between wealth management and insurance brokerage is accelerating. At the same time, financial services consolidation is becoming increasingly global, with a growing presence of foreign players in M&A processes.
